Diamond Dirt 2020

Diamond Dirt expresses the layers of life depicted as below ground, ground, and sky. Our human connection to these layers is shown in costume which becomes a part of everything around it. Along with these layers is introduced the idea of suffering transformed, changing our relationship to suffering. As Thich Nhat Hanh says No Mud, No Lotus. Themes explored are drag, carnival, African masquerade and folk art.
